Women's Health is complex and changing over the lifespan. Youth Workers can provide positive guidance to young women by providing information and connections in a sensitive way, avoiding the use of euphemisms, and not assuming prior knoweldge. Where young women have experienced disruption in their development, they may not have received any factual information about their health, or they may have cobbled together myths and facts from a variety of sources.
Youth Workers have the opportunity to emphaise the importance of women's health, and focus on positive development and de-shaming.
