Mesc Risks

  • Some people experience moderate to severe vomiting and/or headaches.
  • It can make you dizzy,  anxious, increase your heart beat and give you diarrhoea.
  • People have been known to harm themselves while under the effects of hallucinogens. Hence, it is particularly advisable for people already in a bad mood, feeling depressed or worried to avoid taking mescaline in such a state.
  • A mescaline trip can be confusing, very scary or sometimes terrifying if you have a bad trip.

Mesc Details

  • Mescaline is the active ingredient of the peyote cactus, Lophophora williamsii. It can also be made synthetically.
  • In its pure state, mescaline sulphate is a white crystalline powder. Synthetic mescaline may appear as different coloured powders.
  • The peyote cactus contains button shaped 'seeds' that can be cut from the root of the plant and dried and chewed or mixed with water to make a hallucinogenic drink.
  • Mescaline has a bitter taste so some people grind ‘peyote buttons’ into an off-white powder that is put into capsules.

Mush Risk

  • There are many different types of mushroom and some are so poisonous that they can kill you, so the biggest danger is eating a poisonous mushroom by mistake.
  • Users may have a bad trip and these can be seriously frightening and unsettling accompanied by unpleasant and/or intense hallucinations, paranoia, anxiety, panic or fear.

Mush Effects

Magic mushrooms can give you a good trip, making you feel confident, relaxed and in good spirits – or they can give you a really scary bad trip. You won’t know what will happen until you take them. The more you take, the longer your trip could last. If you feel that you’re having (or going to have) a bad trip, let your friends know and get their help. Go to a nice quiet spot where you feel safe and can relax.

PCP Resource

  • Use of PCP among adolescents may interfere with hormones related to normal growth and development as well as with the learning process.

  • It is classified as a hallucinogen
  • PCP is a “dissociative” anesthetic developed in the 1950s as a surgical anesthetic. Its sedative and anesthetic effects are trance-like - this means that users experience a feeling of being “out of body” and detached from their environment.
